SETDA is governed by its Board of Directors who is elected to serve staggered terms of two or three years determined by random draw during the organization's Annual Convocation that is usually held in June at the NECC conference. The board of directors solicits feedback and recommendations from SETDA's founding partners as well as the organization's standing committees. SETDA has five standing committees: Data Collections, Federal & State, Innovations & Partnership, Membership & Communications, and Professional Growth.
