Immersion programs, also known as one-to-one computing, provide computers and Internet access for every student with the goals of increasing student engagement, increasing student learning and achievement, and expanding learning beyond the classroom. Many districts and schools around the country have successfully implemented immersion programs utilizing various funding approaches.

NH (2007). One-to-One Computing in Middle Schools. NH raised over $1.2 million from 24 private organizations for this program. Private funding enabled the program to proceed more quickly than programs funded with traditional sources.
