Results Matter! Schools Close the Achievement Gaps by Transforming Teaching and Learning
Student Engagement Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A-ZVCjfWf8
It is possible to increase student achievement while closing the achievement gap with technology driven reform models. Come learn how students in Utah and Missouri participating in the enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies (eMINTS) program have consistently out-performed non-eMINTS students on standardized tests. eMINTS students in subgroups reduced the gap in test scores by up to half.

Frances Bradburn, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Raleigh; Jason Osborne, North Carolina State University, Raleigh; Jenifer O'Sullivan-Corn, SERVE Center at the University of North Carolina
What is the recipe for a successful 21st century school? Our three-year United States Education Department's Looking at North Carolina Educational Technology grant looked at some of the ingredients necessary to successfully transform a school into a technology-rich, resource-rich teaching and learning environment. Technology is important, but critical ingredients also include: collaboration, professional development and support (particularly for pedagogical integration of technology), leadership, resource availability, needs assessment and formative evaluation, and supportive and visionary leadership at all school levels. Interactive, multimedia handouts will be available.
