Profiling Educational Technology Integration (PETI) resources are available to all stakeholders including states, districts, schools, and other organizations, to assess the integration of technology.

SETDA’s PETI represents the consensus and work of state directors from over 30 states and is designed to assist states in implementing the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) and evaluating the effectiveness of educational technology in all educational environments.
SETDA developed the framework, instruments, and protocols in conjunction with the Metiri Group with support from the U.S. Department of Education. The instruments and protocols have been validated through extensive pilots in five states and have been examined through a peer review process. The tools available in PETI include:
- Framework for assessing educational technology
- NCLB Matrix – linking the questions, indicators, and questions to NCLB goals
- Instruments – District, Building (Administrator and Teacher), and Classroom Observation Tools
- Methodologies and Protocols
- Sample Reports
- Corporate Matrix – listing the organizations and corporations that provided information on how they could implement PETI
- Several states, including California, Pennsylvania, and Arizona, have already begun to utilize the components of PETI by aligning surveys with the framework and participating in the pilot of the instruments.
